Michael Keaton has seen success of late playing real-life people in films such as Spotlight and The Founder, and he's set to do it again for a new movie. He's making a deal to star in What Is Life Worth.

With David Frankel directing and Max Borenstein adapting Kenneth Feinberg's memoir, the film will tackle the emotive and controversial subject of compensation for the families of 9/11 victims.

Feinberg is a powerful lawyer in Washington DC who was assigned yo oversee the 9/11 Fund. During his three years of pro bono work, he battled cynicism, bureaucracy and politics as he struggled against the idea that the government funds should be assigned according to the financial circumstances of each victim, arguing that everyone should be treated the same.

The book, which has the full title What Is Life Worth?: The Inside Story Of The 9/11 Fund And Its Effort To Compensate The Victims Of September 11th, was published in 2006 and producer Sean Sorensen grabbed the rights, hiring Borenstein to work on the script.

Keaton has recently finished shooting on Dumbo for Tim Burton, and the live-action Disney film will be out next year.
