Just last month, word arrived that Hilary Swank would be starring in a new noir thriller called Fatale. We now know who will be joining her in the cast: Michael Ealy and Mike Colter.
Ealy, last seen in movies such as The Perfect Guy, will play a married man tricked into a murder scheme by a seductive police detective (Swank). Luke Cage himself, Colter, will play Ealy's character's best friend and business partner, who we assume will somehow become wrapped up in the whole thing.
Deon Taylor is directing, with Lakeview Terrace writer David Loughery on script duty, and Tyrin Turner also part of the cast. The cameras have just kicked if rolling in Los Angeles. "In landing these two Mikes, Ealy and Colter, we have the great on-screen complement to Hilary Swank that we needed because this story absolutely requires it,” Taylor tells Variety. Working with Michael (Ealy) on my last film, The Intruder, allowed me to see and grasp the depth to which he can go for a performance – and I can attest to how impressive it is. I’ve wanted to work with Mike (Colter) for a long time so I’m glad we have the right project, at the right time, to bring him in!"
Ealy has aforementioned psychological thriller The Intruder on the way, along with Really Love. Colter cropped up as Cage in the new season of Iron Fist and also has faith-based drama Breakthrough in the works.
