Update: In a word, Cor!
...
Michael Ealy is the latest cast member to arrive in Vancouver for **Underworld: New Dawn 3D, joining Kate Beckinsale for the fourth instalment of the Vampires vs. Werewolves (sorry, Lycans) franchise.
Ealy (For Coloured Girls, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Takers) will play a cop on the trail of the PVC-catsuited Seline, although it sounds as if the two will put their differences aside to face down a common enemy later on.
For those who haven't been paying attention so far, Underworld: New Dawn (which we're sure couldn't possibly be a title designed to attract the attention of Twilight fans) is set fifteen years after Underworld: Evolution, and involves Selene and her daughter vamp/wolf-hybrid daughter Nissa on the run from a sinister corporation who want to create uber-Lycans. Probably for use in the military. It's always for use in the military.
Mans Marlin and Bjorn Stein (Shelter) are directing, from a script by John Hlavin and J Michael Straczynski, and, while it's not quite a Beckinsale fix, some pictures of her stuntwoman jumping off a building were released a couple of days ago.
Underworld: New Dawn 3D will be released in the series' traditional January graveyard slot in 2012.
