As Aaron Sorkin does megaphone-lifting exercises to prepare for his directorial debut, the cast of unusual poker pic Molly's Game is coming together. Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba are are already aboard and now Michael Cera is in negotiations to join them.

Molly's Game, subtitled From Hollywood’s Elite To Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure In The World Of Underground Poker, is the memoir of Molly Bloom, whose story is a fascinating one. A world-class skier since she could walk, she became a nationally-ranked business mogul at 21 while still excelling in college. She just missed out on joining the Olympic team upon graduating and took a year off to live in Los Angeles, choosing the unlikely path of waitressing. Thanks to her business acumen, she ended up making millions by running the world’s most exclusive high stakes poker game for eight years before the FBI came calling.

Cera will be a guy named Player X, an elite card-handler and celebrity who develops a unique relationship with Chastain's Bloom. Mark Gordon grabbed the rights to the book and is producing alongside former Sony boss Amy Pascal. Sorkin, usually know for his scripts, is scheduled to start calling the shots in November.

As for Cera's other future roles, he's squeezing in new comedy Captain Dad, starring Will Ferrell, and is the voice of Robin in The Lego Batman Movie, which is out on February 10 next year.
