Back in 2018, when we first learned that Michael B. Jordan would be playing Tom Clancy character John Clark in a movie based on Without Remorse, there was talk that the development schedule also included another big Clark-featuring novel, Rainbow Six. Paramount is now pressing ahead with the follow-up film, and Chad Stahelski is now on board to direct Jordan in the project.

Rainbow Six sees Clark commanding a multi-country anti-terrorist squad and facing off against a huge conspiracy plotting to wipe out most of humanity for the sake of the planet. But we don't yet know how much of the story will port over to the new film. Without Remorse made some changes, so we'd expect that to carry over.

And unlike Remorse (which was a casualty of the pandemic, shipped off to Prime Video), Paramount is currently thinking that Rainbow Six will hit cinemas. Quite when is anyone's guess, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, this could well be Stahelski's next film.

Which would be a big change for the director, who has been focused on the John Wick films for years now. He has, though, been developing other projects, including a Highlander reboot. And he's a prodigious producer, helping to shepherd a variety of films to screens, including Netflix vampire movie Day Shift.

Stahelski's next Wick, Chapter 4, heads to cinemas on 24 March. Jordan, meanwhile, has Creed III (which he also directed), due out on 3 March.
