Buried in a Deadline story about MGM mulling the possibility of selling No Time To Die off to a streaming service (it was a passing idea, apparently and not happening right now) is mention of who could end up directing the third Creed film. That person? None other than star Michael B. Jordan.

While there is no official word on the matter from either MGM or Jordan (who has been known to confirm stories on Twitter), the news is in line with a mentioned from producer Irvin Winkler, who says he offered Jordan the chance to step behind the camera for the third film. If it does come to pass, it would mark his directorial debut, ahead of a short film and another cinematic project he has on his to-do list.

Of course, it's no easy thing to take on directing a film in which you're the lead and potentially appearing in most of the scenes. Add to that the intense training schedule and the pressure of the boxing scenes, and it would seem to be an even bigger challenge. Still, if Sly Stallone can do it on Rocky films...

Right now, all we know about Creed III is that Zach Baylin is writing the script. But we're still hoping that there is a third film, and that all involved produce a knockout.
