From Mexico With Love

A new boxing drama

Of all the professions in filmmaking that lead to the director’s chair, fight coordinator is not the first we’d think of.

But that hasn’t stopped dust-up designer Jimmy Nickerson - who has worked on the likes of Fight Club and Raging Bull - picking up the megaphone to helm From Mexico With Love. That said, it’s not exactly a soppy romantic comedy. It tells the tale of a self-destructive young man who crosses the border into America illegally to try and become a boxer. Once there, he signs up with a seriously washed-up trainer.

Kuno Becker and Bruce McGill are already sweating it out on set, as Nickerson kicked off shooting last wee in San Antonio.
