She may not exactly be bezzie mates with Michael Bay or Steven Spielberg right now if the current stories detailing the drama of her departure from the Transformers franchise are to be believed, but it looks like Megan Fox still has people who want her to appear in their movies as she’s signed on to cameo in Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comedy, The Dictator.
Director Larry Charles and Cohen are currently filming the movie in New York, chronicling the story of a Middle Eastern despot who is removed from his position, replaced by a lookalike former goat herder and flees to the US, where he learns some life lessons.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, John C. Reilly is also aboard to crop up briefly, though their specific roles are being kept a secret. So we don’t know if they’ll be playing characters or appearing as versions of themselves, a la Pamela Anderson in Borat.
Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas are already in the cast, with Faris playing the manager of a health food store who starts up a friendship with Coen’s dictator.
Despite a recent run of cinematic bad luck (including **Jonah Hex **and Passion Play), Fox has landed some more promising parts recently, having completed work on Jennifer Westfeldt’s Friends With Kids and getting set to shoot Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up spin-off This Is Forty.
