The drip feed of new looks at the characters from The Secret Life Of Pets continues with the latest mini-teaser for the sequel. This time, in addition to Max (who already had his own teaser) and Eric Stonestreet's Duke, we meet Rooster, a no-nonsense farm dog voiced by Harrison Ford.
While there is still little idea of an overarching plot for The Secret Life Of Pets 2, it does at least look like Max (now voiced by Patton Oswalt) and his canine pal will be headed to the countryside – even as we have to wonder why the dogs aren't concerned about being brought to "a farm upstate" given what that usually entails for pet pooches – meeting the various animals living there.
Rooster is a gruff sort, so Ford's casting makes sense, even as we don't yet know how he fits into the story. Brian Lynch wrote the script for the film, while Chris Renaud returned to direct again. The Secret Life Of Pets 2 will be out on 24 May.
