Yesterday brought the latest batch of images featuring the characters from Harry Potter play The Cursed Child. Today brings a look at Harry's old enemy Draco Malfoy (Alex Price) and the grown wizard's son Scorpius (Anthony Boyle). Because of course that's what Draco would name his kid.
The production, which is based on a story by J.K. Rowling, serves as an official eighth story in the Potter series. The Cursed Child is set 19 years after the events of The Deathly Hallows, and finds Harry's son Albus Severus about to start at Hogwarts. But the lad is dealing with his legacy and we doubt that Scorpius will be much help. "He’s wearing the official Hogwarts uniform before you go and get sorted into your house," says Boyle. "He’s a Malfoy so his clothes should be really expensive but quite constraining to make him feel a bit awkward."
Jack Thorne wrote the script, and John Tiffany is directing. The Cursed Child will start previews at the Palace Theatre on June 7, with the official opening set for July 30.
