Some movies wait at least a couple of weeks before trailers. Not The Lego Batman Movie, probably because it's about Batman. And what Bruce Wayne wants, Bruce Wayne gets. So here's a new teaser that features not only Will Arnett's titular character, but also Ralph Fiennes' take on evergreen butler and confidante Alfred Pennyworth.

We're back inside the Batcave (and stately Wayne Manor) for this one, where Bruce is indulging himself by talking to a portrait of his slain parents about his latest crime fighting activities. But he's interrupted by his loyal manservant, who reminds him that he does this a lot – and we're given a glimpse of the various Batmen through the years, including Adam West's fun 1960s version.

Yes, despite Bats' intention to always be serious (and Always Be Recording in case he spontaneously comes up with a sweet jam or two), this is still very much targeted towards the fun that The Lego Movie brought to the hero. This take on Batman's adventures will see his loner status challenged by the arrival of Robin (Michael Cera) and Batgirl (Rosario Dawson) and a threat from The Joker (Zach Galifianakis).

With the live-action Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice opening to an estimated $170.1 million in the States this weekend, Bruce will no doubt be hoping his latest takes in $171.2 million, just to prove he's the best. The Lego Batman Movie will be out in the UK on February 10 next year.
