The adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s buzzed-about romance novel The Time Traveller’s Wife is starting to pick up some steam.
The Family Stone's Rachel McAdams is now attached to star with The Queen’s Stephen Frears seriously considering sitting in the director’s special chair. It’s the tale of a man unstuck in time, with a gene in his body that means he can travel through life and appear at different times. This makes things both interesting and difficult for the woman who loves him, as she’s simply ageing normally.
With The Notebook’s Jeremy Leven having written the script, the film will start shooting as soon as the director is in place.
