Former Oscar-winning actress, now Labour MP, Glenda Jackson has advocated that, should a Mayor be created after Thursday's referendum, the Mayoral office should handle all film permitting in the city. Jackson, who's also considered to be a candidate for Mayor, said, "There is no point in attracting filmmakers to this city, if they are just going to be treated like a big nuisance when they get here." At the moment, anyone wishing to film in London has to deal with several different authorities.
