The Pacifier’s Max Thieriot has agreed to join Doug Liman’s previously announced sci-fi thriller Jumper.

He’ll play a younger version of Hayden Christensen’s main character, who discovers a way out of his abusive household by teleporting. But that makes him a target for the National Security Agency.

At least, we think he’ll be in the film. Jumper has already lost one cast member (Tom Sturridge, who was replaced by Christensen), so anything’s possible. And based on the chaos of Mr & Mrs Smith’s shoots, we expect Jumper to be filming for 13 years and get through enough script revisions to bury a small town.
