Matthew Perry is feeling a little numb. Must be all those paink... Oh, sorry, no… He’s starring in Numb.
The film is a dark comedy written – and to be directed by - Harris Goldberg (Deuce Bigalow). Perry will play a scriptwriter who suffers from a condition called acute depersonalisation disorder, which makes the chronically depressed look happy. To win the love of a girl he meets, he decides to try every therapy in the book to ditch his syndrome.
When he finished, at least the former Friends star knows he has a good, solid job to head to – he’s appearing in West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin’s new show, Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, a behind-the-scenes drama about a Saturday Night Live-style comedy series. He’s just shot the pilot, and the series already has a commitment from NBC in the States.
