We've already had a couple of looks at Alexander Payne's new film, Downsizing, but the latest trailer has arrived for your watching needs.

Returning to the Midwestern locale of Payne's last film (Nebraska), Downsizing sees a world in which scientists attempt to solve the problem of overpopulation by shrinking people to five inches tall – thereby using less resources and taking up much less space.

Those who volunteer – including Matt Damon's Paul Safranek – to be smaller are instantly richer and are promised a better quality of life, but such a life is not without its challenges, and the procedure is irreversible.

With a script by Payne and regular writing partner Jim Taylor, Downsizing also features Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau, Laura Dern and Neil Patrick Harris. It'll reach big screens at full size in the UK on 19 January.
