Looks like Michael Douglas will have to put the bouffant hairdo back in the cupboard for a few extra months: Steven Soderbergh has lined up yet another project, and it appears this will shoot before Liberace. This autumn, the prolific director will be working on Contagion.
According to The Playlist, the likes of Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and Jude Law have all started negotiations to star in the film, which has been penned by The Informant! screenwriter Scott Z Burns.
Burns talked to the blog back in September about the script, which was sparked by a chat about germs on the set of The Informant! It’ll follow multiple plotlines across four continents as a virus begins to spread, and terrifying events follow.
Next week, we fully expect Soderbergh to have committed to make three extra films and a TV series during his Christmas holiday. Meanwhile, he's busy making spy thriller Knockout. Does he ever sleep?
