In keeping with producer J.J. Abrams' usual methods, the trailers for 10 Cloverfield Lane have adeptly kept us wondering about the central mystery while proving enough to stimulate guesses. The new TV spot continues that tradition, and can be seen below.

Described as a "blood relative" to the 2008 surprise monster movie Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane has Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Michelle waking up following a car accident in what appears to be a secure doomsday shelter. In charge is John Goodman's Howard, who warns that everyone outside is dead. The only other person seemingly in the place is John Gallagher Jr.'s thus far unnamed character, who here says he was trying to get into the shelter.

But Michelle is suspicious of Howard's motives (especially since she awoke handcuffed to a bed) and despite his claim that he's trying to keep her alive, she tries to make a break for it. We'll have to wait and see what she truly discovers...

Shot in secrecy by Dan Trachtenberg from a script by Josh Campbell, Matthew Stuecken and Whiplash's Damien Chazelle (which leads us to wonder if the noises lurking outside are a giant J.K. Simmons), 10 Cloverfield Lane is out on March 18.
