Marvel’s The Eternals Adds Train To Busan’s Ma Dong-Seok

Kevin Feige and his Marvel team are staunchly refusing to confirm any films beyond next week's Avengers: Endgame and July's Spider-Man: Far From Home, but the casting and other news for future movies keep creeping out. Prime among them is The Eternals, which according to The Wrap is adding South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok.

The actor, also known as Don Lee, might be best known to UK audiences from zombie thriller Train To Busan. It will surprise exactly no-one to learn that his potential role in The Eternals is a secret for now.

Created by Jack Kirby in 1976, the saga began millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered and near-immortal beings and a more monstrous off-shoot known as the Deviants. The two races moved behind the scenes throughout human history.

Marvel has Chloe Zhao on to direct a script currently credited Matthew and Ryan Firpo, with Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani in talks to star. This latest piece of casting represents the studio pushing its aim to diversify on both sides of the camera that much further.

As for when The Eternals might hit our screens? That's also a mystery for now, but Avengers: Endgame is finally landing on 25 April. Not long now, people...
