While the cameras have yet to roll on the Marvel Disney+ series, there were still announcements to be made about the various shows in the works. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige took the stage alongside The Falcon And The Winter Soldier's Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan to reveal that Emily VanCamp is returning as Sharon Carter and that Wyatt Russell will play a man named John Walker.
The newbies are in addition to Daniel Brühl, who returns as the cunning Zemo from Captain America: Civil War. One assumes that's also how we're re-introduced to VanCamp's Carter, who was part of the anti-terrorism task force in that film (and has history as SHIELD's Agent 13).
As for Walker, he's known in the comics as US Agent, who has at different times replaced Captain America and been in opposition to him. Russell, of course, is the son of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2's Kurt Russell. Don't you just hate it when kids get jobs because their fathers are living planets? (Just kidding – he's great and we're intrigued to see what the show does with his character and how he plays it).
With Kari Skogland directing all six episodes and Malcolm Spellman leading the writing side, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will be on Disney+ in 2020.
