Word that Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri director Martin McDonagh is putting a new film together as reported by Variety is reason enough to get excited. But when you then learn that it'll see the filmmaker working once again with In Bruges duo Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, the excitement level cranks up that much higher. Get thrilled then, to hear that McDonagh's latest is in the works, starring the pair.
Deadline brought the casting update for the film, which McDonagh wrote and will start making this summer. It'll follow two lifelong pals on a remote Irish isle. At an impasse, one abruptly ends the friendship, resulting in alarming consequences for both.
Searchlight Pictures (formerly Fox Searchlight) and Film4, which produced Three Billboards, are back working with the director on this one. Now we wait and see whether McDonagh has also come up with a role for Bruges' swear-tastic Ralph Fiennes...
