Amazingly this has passed us by so far, but the live-action portion of comic strip movie Marmaduke completed filming a couple of months ago. Coming Soon have now uncovered the voice cast for the CGI bits.
Yes, it's a "family-oriented" mixture of live-action and CGI, coming from Fox, who made the Garfield films and Alvin and the Chipmunks. For those who've never encountered him, Marmaduke is a Great Dane, whose strip has been syndicated since 1954, "bringing laughter and joy to millions of readers long since dead of old age" (thanks to The Onion for that one).
His flesh-and-blood owners Debbie and Phil Winslow are played in the movie by Judie Greer and Lee Pace, and the voice cast, gritting their teeth for an easy payday, includes Ron Perlman as "Chupadogra", Jeremy Piven, Christopher "McLovin'" Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans Jr, and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.
Maybe Marmaduke will be really good! We look forward to finding out when it goes straight to DVD next year.
