Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg clearly haven't gotten sick of working together yet. Hot on the heels of news that they're developing a sequel to Mile 22 (which hasn't even come out yet), comes word that they're setting up detective novel adaptation Wonderland with Netflix.

The streaming company has been landing deal after deal with big names, and this is the latest. Neal H. Moritz will produce the film, which adapts one of the Spenser novels originally written by Robert B. Parker and since continued by Ace Atkins following Parker's death in 2010.

Wonderland finds Spenser freshly released from prison and diving back into Boston's criminal underbelly, digging for the truth behind a sensational murder and the conspiracy behind it. Sean O'Keefe is writing the script, and given that the series already boasts 48 books, you know Netflix will be hoping that this kicks off a series. Assuming it all comes together, Wahlberg aims to star and Berg to direct.

Mile 22 heads to UK screens on 27 August.
