With Liev Schreiber and Alex Wolff already aboard, new novel adaptation Human Capital has just kicked off shooting. And Marisa Tomei is on to co-star in the film.
Oren Moverman adapted Stephen Amidon's 2005 novel into a script that Marc Meyers has begun filming. The story follows the lives of two families — one middle-class and one privileged — as their lives intertwine across the social divide when two of their children suddenly begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident.
Tomei will play a woman named Carrie, with Schreiber as the protagonist, Drew and Wolff as Ian. The book has previously been adapted by Paolo Virzì into an Italian film called Il Capitale Umano. The new version should be on screens next year.
Last seen in The First Purge, Tomei will be back as Aunt May Parker for Spider-Man: Far From Home, due out next July. Learn Everything You Need To Know about that one here.
