Having taking a turn towards horror with the upcoming Antlers, director Scott Cooper is staying in the genre for a new film called A Head Full Of Ghosts. And he's locked in the first star for the movie, as Once Upon A Time In... Hollywood's Margaret Qualley is aboard.
The film adapts Paul Tremblay’s Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel with Cooper at work on a new draft of the script. As for the story, it runs thus: "When 8-year-old Merry’s older sister exhibits signs of an indeterminate and terrifying affliction, the Barrett family slowly tears itself apart. Now, 20 years later, Merry is confronted with her family’s traumatic past when Rachel, a journalist with a similarly haunted past, delves into the case, causing Merry to relive and reconsider the devastating memories of her childhood."
There's no word on when this one will shoot, but it has Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey's Team Downey on as part of the production team alongside Cross Creek. As for Antlers, that'll be out in the UK on 17 April.
