Arnold Schwarzenegger is threatening to sue magazine Premiere over an as-yet-unpublished article, titled Arnold The Barbarian, that reveals details about his health, his private life and an 'incident' of an intimate nature. Schwarzenegger's lawyer, Marty Singer (whose other clients include Sylvester Stallone and Charlie Sheen) has fired off an 11-page letter to the magazine's editors threatening legal action over the expos which is due to hit newstands on 20 February. Big Arn is reportedly seeking "many millions of dollars" in compensation and a similar amount in punitive damages if the article, by John Connolly, is published. In 1998, Schwarzenegger successfully sued US supermarket tabloid The Globe over an allegation regarding the health of his heart. The paper coughed up an undisclosed sum and were forced to print a retraction. Premiere, however, is standing firm. "Connolly's story was well researched and well vetted by not only our researchers, but our legal department as well," says the magazine's editor-in-chief Michael Solomon. The article couldn't come at a worse time for Arnie, as his political ambitions have recently taken centre stage. He plans to run for the governship of California and he told the L.A Times "I saw in the last 10 years that I'm getting much more pleasure out of (helping people) than making money and making movies". Which begs the question - what's more scary, another terrible action movie, or Governor Arnie?
Don’t Make Arnie Angry
That's one 'Premiere' he won't want to see
