Looks like Madonna's plans to direct her own biopic are taking a holiday. Or at least its status appears to be a lot more on the borderline — because the music star is off on a world tour.
Though Madonna had been hinting for a couple of years about working on a biopic project – Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson have both done passes on the script – and it seemed to be all coming together last year with Universal backing the movie and Julia Garner winning the lead role, Variety reports that the film is no longer in development.
There were questions raised when Madonna announced last week that she had sold out several cities on her new world tour, and concerns that she might not be able to divert the time to focus on the film.
While she's apparently still interested in making the film, it's on hold for now. Will it get back into the groove? We'll let you know if there's a ray of light.
