When any Bond 20 story hits the headlines, you always have to treat it with a degree of scepticism. However last week's report that Madonna would be both recording a song for and appearing in the next Bond film was actually partially true. The star's publicist has since confirmed that Madge will indeed be recording a song for Bond 20 - but she won't be appearing in the film itself. 'She is doing a song for the film but she won't be acting,' Madonna's spokeswoman in London said. The publicist couldn't confirm whether Madonna's song would be the title theme, but it seems unlikely that Britain's favourite immigrant would get involved over a basic soundtrack song.
