M. Night Shyamalan is one of those filmmakers who would prefer that details of his new movies doesn't get out at all. But some things in Hollywood rarely stay secret, and so, thanks to Variety, and Collider, we know who he's hiring (after a round of shot-at-home auditions) for his latest project. Little Women's Eliza Scanlen, Jojo Rabbit's Thomasin McKenzie, Krypton's Aaron Pierre, Jumanji: The Next Level's Alex Wolff and Phantom Thread's Vicky Krieps are all now making deals to star.
Universal is once again backing the movie, though of course we don't know what it'll be about yet. We'd guess it'll be some sort of thriller and involve plenty of mystery, but the director and studio are keeping the actual information quiet for now. Also unknown? When the movie will shoot and its potential release date, since productions have yet to gear back up again (blasted pandemic) and Universal recently slotted Bob Odenkirk-starring thriller Nobody into the February 2021 date previously occupied by this still-unknown entry.
In other Shyamalan news, the second season of the show he produces for Apple TV Plus, Servant, wrapped production before the full force of the crisis hit, and should be on screens later this year.
