More details are starting to emerge about M. Night Shyamalan's next film, Glass, which – spoiler alert for those who still might not be aware – will serve as a sequel to both Unbreakable and this year's Split. Two of the original actors from the former – Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, are joining the cast.
Glass will see Bruce Willis' David Dunn returning from Unbreakable, this time using his skills to pursue Split's Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with multiple personalities including a dangerous creature known as The Beast. Manipulating things from behind the scenes is Samuel L. Jackson's Mr. Glass, who at the end of Unbreakable was revealed to be a villain causing chaos, and who has secrets about both of them.
Clark played Joseph Dunn in Unbreakable, while Woodard was Elijah Glass' mother. The cast also includes Split's Casey Cooke (Anya Taylor-Joy), who was the sole survivor of an encounter with The Beast and posses abilities of her own. And then there's Sarah Paulson, who will be playing a new, unknown character.
The new film, backed, like Split, by Blumhouse and Universal, will be out in the UK on 18 January.
