Luke Wilson – PORN! – and Giovanni Ribisi have – PORN! – signed on to star in the – PORN! PORN! PORN! – indie drama, Middle Men, which is about the birth of the – PORNY PORNY PORN PORN! – internet porn industry.
Did we mention porn already? We were worried that we might be sexing this story up too much.
Anyway, the film will tell the story of a straight-laced businessman (we’re guessing that would be Wilson; he gives good straight-laced) who starts an online billing company that deals exclusively with the adult entertainment industry.
He soon finds himself in way over his head, dealing with a procession of porn stars, shady businessmen, Russian mobsters, cops and even international terrorists, all while he tries to keep his marriage and career on track.
So it’s Boogie Nights from the other side, essentially. Sounds good to us. George Gallo, who co-wrote Bad Boys II, although you really shouldn’t judge, will direct from a script he wrote with Andy Weiss.
The film, one of the many to receive a waiver from the Screen Actors Guild in case there’s an Actors’ Strike, will start filming on October 20 in Phoenix.
