Luke Evans Joins Murder Mystery

Luke Evans

He's been on TV screens recently solving crimes in The Alienist, so it seems fitting for Luke Evans to be heading for a film called Murder Mystery. This time, however, it sounds like he'll be more wrapped up in the crime than playing detective.

One of the movies commissioned under Adam Sandler's deal with Netflix, the comedy will see Sandler as a New York Cop who finally takes his wife (Jennifer Aniston) on a long-promised European trip. On their flight over, they meet a mysterious man (Evans) who invites them to an odd family gathering on the yacht belonging to elderly billionaire Malcolm Quince.

And where does the title come into play? Glad you asked. Quince is murdered during the shindig and Sandler and Aniston's characters become the prime suspects in a whodunit.

Kyle Newacheck is in the director's chair, and James Vanderbilt wrote the script. Evans has most recently worked on Tate Taylor's new Blumhouse thriller Ma, which should be out next year.
