Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges has joined the cast of the film formerly known as Game, with Gerard Butler in the lead role and Crank writers/ directors/ crazed geniuses Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor calling the shots.

In the film, Butler is the star player in a massive online game where humans control other humans in mass-scale gaming. Butler plays "Kable", the top-ranked player in the number one game, called "Slayer" (this film is already rivalling Crank for awesome dumbness) who takes on the system to regain his identity, bring down the system that imprisons him and take down its evil creator, Hal (Michael C. Hall - him from Dexter and Six Feet Under). By the way, didja notice? The baddie's name is Hal! In a sci-fi film! Bet his surname is "Nine Thousand".

Ahem. Ludacris joins the film as a human freedom fighter, part of Alison "the heroine" Lohman's resistance group "Humanz" (they spell it with a Z! Is it possible to be any more in love with this film?), which is protesting the use of humans in these games.

Ah, it brings a warm glow to the heart, doesn't it? Arnie may be firmly esconced in the governor's mansion, but his spirit lives on in trashtastic nonsense like this. We can't wait.
