Sooner or later, it appears, almost every actor starts to get the directing bug and picks up the megaphone. You can add one more name to the list of people stepping behind the camera, as Jennifer Love Hewitt is putting the pieces in place to shoot her first film, ghostly tale Wait Till Helen Comes.
It would appear that she's staying in familiar territory for her cinematic shot-calling debut, since she’s spent years in front of the camera in the TV series Ghost Whisperer. And the lure of the big folding chair has already called to her, since she’s directed several episodes of the show.
Helen has been adapted from Mary Downing Hahn’s novel by Sanchez Mandryk, and follows a family that move into a strange house in Maryland. The real problem with the place? It’s haunted, which might have something to do with the fact that it’s been converted from an old church. Yes, it’s just one step away from the ol’ “sacred burial ground” issue.
Love Hewitt is even now looking for a cast and wants to start filming in the summer. Given the title, the porn version is probably already being shot.
