Back in June last year, Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier was rumoured to be involved with a developing sci-fi disaster blockbuster with the working title of Gravity (no, not the Alfonso Cuaron one). Now it would seem that things have moved on apace, as the Heat Vision blog reports that he’s signed on to tackle the behemoth, now just going by the Sesame Street-friendly title G.

There’s still no real plot info and the film doesn’t even have a script yet. While the original spark was an idea by one of Leterrier’s managers, Guymon Casady, the filmmakers are now talking with screenwriters to get something written. That said, the original report (by Pajiba’s Hollywood Cog source) mentioned a concept where the world stops spinning, gravity vanishes and a father has to search for his son. Which certainly sounds like it could fit the one-letter title.

Given that the movie is still sitting in development, it won’t be Leterrier’s next job. That honour appears reserved for almost equally high concept heist thriller Now You See Me, which sees a team of illusionists pulling off bank robberies during their performances and handing out cash to the crowds. All the while avoiding an FBI team on their trail...
