Looks like the modern incarnation of the Space Family Robinson will be staying lost for a little longer. Netflix has announced a second season for Lost In Space.
The re-imagined version of the 1960s Irwin Allen sci-fi series brought the contractual grittiness and budget to the idea of a family of explorers who get thrown off course and stranded. And even though they're not quite as alone as the original cast, the new family (which includes Toby Stephens, Molly Parker and Maxwell Jenkins in its cast) still had to deal with lots of challenges – and will now continue to do so.
This latest Lost has proved to be a success for the streaming service, on a par with the likes of Stranger Things and Bright. Netflix did not mention when the second season might launch, but we'd guess it'll appear around April next year, given its usual propensity for premiering on a schedule.
