If you absolutely, positively cannot get enough of Eva Longoria being Desperate Housewives’ resident rich bitch, then this latest news will make you smile.
Far from using her Housewives hiatus to play something like a nun or a lovely angel, Longoria will star in Deep In The Heart Of Texas. The plot sees a spoiled Beverly Hills woman trucked off to San Antonio to run the new Latin division of her ad agency. Despite being a former Texan, she’s lost all connection with her Mexican heritage and doesn’t even speak Spanish.
To make matters worse, she’s faced with a boss who, despite being a quirky “urban cowboy” and non-Texan, fits in better than she ever did. Pam Buchignati and Lynette Ramirez have penned the comedy pitch for Touchstone and Longoria – a Texas gal herself – is producing. There’s no director attached yet.
Oh, and if you fancy seeing Longoria doing something other than sleeping with gardeners and tormenting her husband, you'll be able to see her in action thriller The Sentinel, which hits UK cinemas later this year.
