A Lonely Valentine

Jude Law and Nicole Kidman yesterday did their damndest yesterday to scotch rumours that an affair between them was responsible for the break-up of Law's marriage to Sadie Frost. Kidman, appearing at the London premiere of The Hours told reporters that the rumours were 'not true' and urged the media to respect Law and Frost's privacy. Asked if she and Law were an item, the actress said; 'No we're not. It's not true.' Kidman's comments came just hours after her Cold Mountain co-star Jude Law issued a statement on the state of his marriage which said; 'As you may know, my family has gone through a difficult time over the past few weeks. While we truly appreciate the concern the media has shown towards us, we ask that you now please give us the privacy we eagerly need so that we can put our lives in order. If and when there is any news to report to you, we will make a statement in as timely manner as possible. Many thanks for your understanding.' In a further effort to lay the rumour to rest, Nicole
