The team here at Empire Online have notched up a fair few premieres in their time, but none of us have ever seen the sheer madness that accompanied last night's UK premiere of Tomb Raider. Thousands of fans packed into London's Leicester Square, hoping to catch a glimpse of Angelina Jolie, and they were rewarded with a veritable pantheon of stars. Angelina herself, looking beautiful in a black suit, turned seasoned journalists into puppy-dog admirers as she proceeded to make everyone at the Empire Leicester Square her very best friend. We managed to seize a moment with the star alone, and asked her whether she was hoping to do a sequel to the movie, and if so how she would like her role to progress. 'I'd like to see the film get a little darker,' she told us. 'There are loads of places we can take her to, and that would be fun.' So would there be any James Bond-style assignations on the way? 'Lara's hard to please,' she laughed. Jolie's mother, brother James, father Jon Voight and husband Billy Bob Thornton were also in attendance last night. 'I'd love to come back and work in England,' Voight told Empire Online. 'The artisans and craftspeople here are second to none. Other celebrities who turned up for the bash included All-Saints star Natalie Appleton, whose daughter plays the young Lara, and Spice Girl Mel C. 'I'm flattered that people think [The Spice Girls] are like Lara Croft,' Mel told us. 'That's pretty cool.' Noah Taylor, who plays Lara's sidekick Bryce in the movie, has just finished working on Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise. So how did that go? 'Well I can't reveal too much,' Noah said. 'But it's going to be fantastic. All I can say is that it's no Jerry Maguire,'
