Logan Lerman Boards Noah

You might think Logan Lerman will be sick of sea-faring once he’s finished shooting Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, but when Darren Aronofsky has you auditioning for his Biblical epic Noah, it’s the sort of problem you shove aside to eagerly sign on. So Lerman is doing just that, with Douglas Booth also jumping into the cast.

Russell Crowe has long been attached to play the title character, tasked by God to build a boat to save two of every animal from the apocalyptic flood set to wash the Earth clean. His job will not be an easy one, but he’ll have some help from sons Ham (Logan) and Shem (Booth).

While Deadline’s story talks of Jennifer Connelly still in the mix to play Noah’s wife Naameh, she appears to be all but set to join her Beautiful Mind co-star. Saoirse Ronan is also circling a major role.

We can expect the trickle of casting stories to become a torrent soon enough as Aronofsky fills out the rest of the ensemble – including, apparently, a nemesis for our hero. The film is slated to begin filming at the end of July in Iceland and New York. It’s set to dock at our cinemas on March 28, 2014.

Lerman has The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (which just put out a trailer) coming up along with the Percy Jackson sequel. Booth appeared in LOL and will next be seen in Romeo And Juliet.
