The superb Brit-gangster hit Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was the most popular limited-release film in New York and Los Angeles for the second consecutive weekend, racking up $97,185 on a total of six screens. Second place went to Brazil's Central Station with grosses of $35,163 on four screens closely pursued by third placed Gods and Monsters, which scared up $29,727 on five screens. The highly acclaimed and award winning flick that is Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels has gone from strength to strength since its release in 1998, its cast which includes the spectacular debut of Vinnie Jones have since been celebrating the much-deserved success of Lock, Stock... which will seemingly not be silenced, even on its debut in the US. After attending the premiere recently in the States, Vinnie Jones has stated that he's keen to move out to Hollywood as soon as possible - and has even asked if Madonna, a close friend of director Guy Ritchie, will put him up while he's house-hunting.
