She's largely been spending her time appearing on TV drama Masters Of Sex, while also working on a few movies, including Now You See Me 2 and a couple of films with Seth Rogen. Now, though, Lizzy Caplan will enter the superhero genre, as she's in talks to join Channing Tatum in Gambit.

Exactly what Caplan will be doing in the film is being kept under wraps, she'll star alongside Tatum, who is playing ragin' Cajun Remy LeBeau, a member of the Thieves Guild whose mutant ability to control kinetic energy saw him come into contact with the X-Men.

The film has had a troubled development, burning through scripts and directors, but Gore Verbinski is now attached to make it, and a 14 February 2019 (15 Feb here) release date on the books.

Caplan has a few projects on the way, including a miniseries sequel to Das Boot and sci-fi thriller extinction. She'll also be seen in The Disaster Artist, landing in the UK on 6 December.
