Not content with the sheer number of horror movies he's already producing, James Wan is adding one more to the roster of his Atomic Monster company. He has The Children ready for New Line and Linda Cardellini is on board to star.
Michael Chaves will direct the film from Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis' script. The story will see Cardellini as a social worker assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of two children. But as she probes deeper into the case, she discovers something terrible at its heart, a threat that also targets her own family.
There's no sign yet of when this will start shooting, but it'll join the various other projects Wan has on the go, including his Conjuring movie spin-offs.
Cardellini will have a slightly less horrific time in her next film, Daddy's Home 2, with the comedy sequel due here on 22 November.
