As the Toronto Film looms towards us, looking to be one of the first major film events to feature a sizable physical portion since the pandemic hit, we're already learning about movies that will be for sale there. And few are starrier than The Making Of, which will boast Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blake Lively, Richard Gere and Diane Keaton.

The romantic comedy revolves around two couples: long-married filmmakers (Gere and Keaton) have cast overemotional actors (Blake Lively and Lin-Manuel Miranda) to portray their younger selves in the story of their great love. Unfortunately, by the time shooting begins, their fabled marriage is unraveling. The filmmakers want to make a hit; the actors want to tell the true story. Whose version really is the truth? And how do they distinguish between real love and movie love when their lives and their work become hopelessly intertwined?

Regular collaborators Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz are putting this one together, cranking out the film's script and producing. Deadline's story doesn't mention a director, but we'd guess that Zwick would handle that job, which is what usually happens with this pair. The cameras will be rolling next year.
