Continuing his current career as Go-To Older Action Man With Family Issues And/Or Wolves, Liam Neeson is now in negotiations to tackle crime thriller The All** Nighter (which has also been called Run All Night), according to The Wrap.

While that first title makes it sound like he’s taking on a Hangover-style comedy, it’s actually the tale of an aging hit man who goes up against his former mob employers in one blood-soaked night. Looking to protect his estranged family, he then has to go on the run from the gangsters’ retaliation as well as the authorities.

The film has been in development for nearly a year now, ever since Warner Bros. bought** Out Of The Furnace** writer Brad Ingelsby’s script. There’s no sign of a director on board yet, so this one will likely linger in limbo for a little longer.

Neeson, however will next appear in Paul Haggis’ drama The Third Person, airplane action thriller Non-Stop and animated ‘toon Lego: The Piece Of Resistance.
