We'll soon have Robert Redford older-bank-robber-finds-love-amid-loot tale The Old Man And The Gun on our screens, but Liam Neeson is looking to muscle into similar territory. He and Kate Walsh are starring in new drama Honest Thief.

Mark Williams, who co-created Netflix crime series Ozark, is staying with cinematic illegality for the film, which finds Neeson as career bank robber Tom Carter. When he hides $7 million in stolen cash at a storage facility, he meets Annie (Walsh), who works at the front desk. After they fall deeply in love, Tom resolves to wipe the slate clean and turn himself in.

But then the case is turned over to a crooked FBI agent and their lives become that much more difficult and dangerous. According to Deadline, Jai Courtney's in talks to play the agent, with Jeffrey Wright and Jeffrey Donovan also considering roles.

Williams will have the cameras rolling next month in Boston. Neeson will next be seen in Widows, out 6 November and appears in a segment of the Coens' Netflix anthology The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs, which lands on 16 November. Walsh has worked on indie drama Sell by.
