The Knives Out 2 casting rollout clearly took a long weekend off after several days of announcements last week. It's back, and the news is good, as Hamilton veteran and One Night In Miami double-Oscar-nominee Leslie Odom Jr.is the latest recruit.
As befits a murder mystery, writer/director Rian Johnson is keeping the plot under lock and key for now, though the one confirmed element is the return of Daniel Craig's detective Benoit Blanc, here suspecting yet more foul play and whittling down a list of suspects.
That list – on the casting front, at least, is growing, with Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe and Kathryn Hahn all on board, the ensemble shaping up to be a truly great one in keeping with the Knives Out franchise. And we say franchise because Netflix splashed a considerable amount of dosh to have Johnson cook up not one but two sequels to his 2019 mystery hit.
