Leonardo DiCaprio as Leonardo Da Vinci? If Paramount has its way, it'll happen, as the actor is attached to appear in and produce a film about the famed artist/scientist.
The potential film will spring from the work of Walter Isaacson, who wrote the eponymous book about the Renaissance artist and thinker who created some of the most iconic works of all time, including the Mona Lisa and Vitruvian Man.
Paramount and Universal waged a heated bidding war for the rights to the book, and DiCaprio's Appian Way production company was first on board to oversee the film as a potential starring role for the actor. It's too early for a writer or director to be attached at this point, and DiCaprio has plenty of projects awaiting his attention, but this would certainly appear to be something Paramount will aim to get made.
DiCaprio has a lot of movies in the works as producer, and is considering a few to appear in, including The Devil In The White City and Killers Of The Flower Moon.
