Columbia Pictures are striking a deal with Yoko Ono to make a movie about the life of late legendary musician John Lennon. If an agreement is made, it would include the rights to the former Beatle's musical work and also give the studio the rights to the couple's biography. The movie will portray the beginnings of John and Yoko's courtship, at the time when he was still with the Beatles and married to his first wife Cynthia, and also portray his 1980 murder in New York at the hands of fan Mark Chapman. There's no details on who will play the great man yet (though Noel Gallagher's probably on the blower to Columbia right now...) or when filming starts, but the film's sure to beat all competition when it's released.
