Move over Preacher, there's a new comic-book holy-man in Tinsel Town. Scott Charles Stewart has signed on to direct the TokyoPop horror-Western Priest, about a warrior clergyman who goes rogue to find the vampires who kidnapped his niece, set against a world ravaged by human-vampire fighting.

Stewart is currently working on** Legion** (starring Dennis Quaid and Paul Bettany), which is about saving a girl from the threats of a world in ruins, but this time following a good old biblical apocalypse.

Written by The Brood scribe Cory Goodman, the adaptation was originally being developed a couple of years ago to star Gerard Butler but the project didn't get off the ground, so there will be another spot open for a renegade in a dog-collar, once **Preacher **has been cast.
